Midrand Graduate Institute Prospectus 2023–2024

History
Midrand Graduate Institute was first known as Midrand Campus, later known as Midrand University. Established in 1989, it soon attained acceptance as a private university-level, degree-conferring institution – one of the first of its kind in southern Africa.

It formed a partnership with CTI Education Group in 2006, with the opportunity to offer degrees at various remote campuses nationwide and conferred by Midrand. Qualifications are offered at 11 campuses in South Africa. Pearson Education acquired a 75% shareholding in Midrand Graduate Institute in 2011, which grew to 100% in 2013.

It is now known as the Pearson Institute of Higher Education (officially using that name from 27 July 2016). As the Pearson Institute of Higher Education now has 12 campuses in South Africa, it is now simply known as the Midrand Campus (or Main Campus) of the same institution.

List Courses Offered:

• Bachelor of Business Administration.
• Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting.
• Bachelor of Commerce in Human Resource Management.
• Bachelor of Commerce in Law.
• Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing Management.
• Bachelor of Commerce in Tourism Management.

Admission Requirements:

Many students who apply for Generic Admission are MSCE (South Africa School Certificate of Examination) holders. But we also accept a whole range of other equivalent qualifications.
In some subjects, particularly sciences, candidates are required to have studied certain subjects. Please see the specific subject requirements on the individual course

WEEKEND CLASSES ADMISSIONS

Midrand Graduate Institute offers a unique experience to students who would like to do studies over the weekend, giving them the opportunity to work while studying. Studying at Midrand Graduate Institute on a weekend basis can be exhilarating and challenging but also demanding, particularly if you have to balance the demands of home, family, and work with your course requirements.
Our courses have been designed with the needs of students at different life and career stages in mind, while at the same time offering the opportunity for an intense educational experience.
