The University of South Africa (Unisa) has stated that they are not going to accept any late applications or documents that will be submitted after the closing date for application. For this matter, if you want to apply for admission to the 2023-2024 academic year, you have to re-apply during the next application period prescribed by Unisa. The reason why is that Unisa always wants to deal with “first come, first serve”. That is why we always encourage everyone who wishes to apply to study at Unisa to join the early bird applicants in other for your application to reach the authorities of the institution on time.

University of South Africa (UNISA) can only accept an application for admission to 2023-2024 applicants if only there are available spaces in programmes or qualifications in which they want to study.
For this reason, you are always required to apply within the application dates that have been given or prescribed by Unisa to avoid any late application since all applications that are submitted after the application closing date for the 2023-2024 academic year will be rejected by the University.

Unisa Registration for 2023-2024
Registration to Undergraduate, honours and postgraduate diplomas dates:
Semester modules: 5 January – 12 February
Year modules: 5 January – 11 March
Registration to Master’s & doctoral qualifications dates:
5 January – 31 March (some exceptions apply)
