The University of Johannesburg – National Benchmark Test Requirements for entrance to UJ
Students wishing to enter the following qualifications are required to write BOTH the Academic and Quantitative Literacy (AQL) and the Mathematics (MAT) National Benchmark Tests unless otherwise stated

| Faculty of Science | No NBT requirements |
| Faculty of Engineering and the Built Environment | Both the AQL and the MAT are to be completed for all qualifications |
| College of Business and Economics (CBE) | Students wishing to enter the following qualifications are required to write BOTH the Academic and Quantitative Literacy (AQL) and the Mathematics (MAT) National Benchmark Tests
