REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Grade 9 or Higher / ABET Level 4
  • Grade 12 / N3 / NC(V)Level 4
  • Certified Copy of ID Document or Birth Certificate
  • Copy of statement of results of highest standard passed

CANCELLATION OF REGISTRATION

Cancellation of registration must be done in writing, within one week of the commencement of classes.

Failing to do this, learners will be held liable for the full cost of tuition fees.

CLASS FEES

Class fees are subject to change and are obtainable on request from campuses & Central Office.

REFUNDS

Refunds will only be considered in the following instances:

Death of a learner (Full Payment)

Transfer to another educational institution (confirmed by the institution) in writing

Subject/programme no longer offered

Subject clashes due to the changes in the timetable

EXAMINATIONS

Only learners who have registered for full-time and part-time programmes and who have complied with the admission requirements will be allowed to register for the examinations.

Engineering Studies

N1 – N6 First Trimester          – January

Second Trimester    – April / May

Third Trimester       – August / September

Utility Studies

N4 – N6 First Semester          – January

N4 – N6 Second Semester    – September

DHET COLLEGE BURSARY SCHEME

DHET Bursaries will be available for students who enrolled for NC(V) and Report 191 (NATED) programmes at the College. DHET aims to provide access to eligible students for vocational education and training at all public TVET Colleges (financially needy with good academic records)

The National Student AID Scheme (NSFAS) administers the bursaries on behalf of the DHET.

The following students are eligible to apply:

–  A South African citizen

–  Registered at the college for any NC(V) or Report 191 (NATED) programmes

–  Students who need financial assistance

–  Students who excel academically

–  Your combined annual household income does not exceed R350 000 per annum

To be considered for a bursary award, the following documents must accompany the bursary application form

–  Certified copy of student’s South African Identity Document or Birth Certificate

–  Certified copy of parent’s or guardian’s South African Identity Document

–  Proof of income (Salary or pension statement) or sworn affidavit if a proof is not available

–  End-of-the-year results

A Means test will be administered. Please note that an application does not ensure that awarding of the bursary. All bursary applications are subject to approval.

No refunds will be made if there is a balance in the student’s account after his/her account has been settled. No student will receive a cash payment or refund from the college at the end of the year in respect of a bursary award granted to the student for the payment of fees or other expenses.
