IIFT International Accreditation & Cooperation Agreements

IIFT as a national training body has become a household name over the past twenty-three years. IIFT is known internationally, with special credibility among international health and fitness bodies.

National cooperation with the government, tertiary institutions and sports federations is in place countrywide.
Internationally we cooperate with:

IDEA World Fitness as the leader in the fields of health, fitness and research – www.ideafit.com
The NSCA-CC (National Strength and Conditioning Association, Certification Commission) of the USA, with two global specialist programmes: CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist) and CPT (Certified Personal Trainer). Both these courses are registered with ISO and are accepted worldwide. – www.nsca-cc.org

The following programmes are currently registered:

Advanced Certificate in Fitness Conditioning Coach, NQF Level 6 (SAQA ID 83506); Specialization in a specific field of coaching and conditioning. IIFT-CEU’s will be awarded for advancing the specific fields. This is the most advanced Fitness, Sports Conditioning course in the country (34 sports federations in co-operation with the University of Pretoria);
Higher Certificate in Personal Fitness Trainer, NQF Level 5 (SAQA ID 79026); Specialization in specific fields in short courses for advance knowledge: IIFT-CEU’s will be awarded;
Higher Certificate in Group Fitness Trainer, NQF Level 5 (SAQA ID 79313); Advance Short Course specialization in specific fields; Pilates and Yoga etc.
Certificate Fitness Instructor, Short Course (SAQA ID 67700); Opportunities for specific field specialization with an evaluation of CEU’s for RPL for level 5;
Students can write the International Exercise examination and RPL will be given for higher certificate with a pass mark of 70%.
