EXCEPTIONS

A Higher Certificate or Advanced Certificate in a cognate field will also be considered for admission.
Applicants from foreign countries are required to have their qualifications verified by the South-African Qualifications Authority (SAQA).

MODE OF INSTRUCTION
Class contact sessions combined with work-integrated learning opportunities to combine theory and real-world practice.

After obtaining all three certificates a student will have to register to complete a Trade Test Examination. If successful they will then be deemed Qualified. The Trade Exam is assessed externally by the National Artisan Moderation Body (NAMB) and is not part of the course fees.

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

PURPOSE NQF LEVEL 02:
This qualification is designed to serve as an introduction to the hairdressing industry and provide the student with the basics of hairdressing.

PURPOSE NQF LEVEL 03:
This qualification is designed to focus on the core hairdressing skills of cutting, relaxing, styling and colouring.

PURPOSE NQF LEVEL 04:
This qualification is designed to focus on advanced hairdressing techniques such as perming, advanced colouring, braiding, and dreadlocks as well as on a series of management functions designed to assist a qualified hairdresser to set up and manage their own business.

INTERNATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS (ITEC)

Please note that the syllabus for these qualifications is taught throughout the Year. If a student wants to achieve this International Membership Body Qualification, they need to register for the External Assessment at the end of the year. This diploma does not have additional tuition costs as it is included in the tuition fees, however, the Assessment Fee is Charged Separately. Please ask your consultant for further information and Costs. If a student does not take the Assessment no Qualification can be awarded for this syllabus. The above applies to all the additional Qualifications that follow.

ITEC Level 02 Diploma Hairdressing (Exam Fee is included in course fees)
